Reporting Cases Of Infectious Diseases

Circular 18/2012:

Pursuant to the pre-circular no. (38) for the year 2008 and the federal law 28/2010 and federal law 7/2008 regarding the reporting cases of infectious diseases, we would like to extend our appreciation to all Health Facilities in the medical Governmental and private sector for their constructive and effective cooperation with the concerned department in Dubai Health Authority through their full compliance with the reporting of infectious diseases, which had a positive impact in strengthening health monitoring and maintaining the safety and health of the community members.
In order to provide a healthy environment for all Dubai Residents, we would like to draw your kind attention that it has been observed recently that some notifications of infectious diseases we get are incomplete in terms of personal data and private telephone number of the patient, making it difficult for us to contact him to complete the procedures and provide the patient with further health management.
We request to immediately report the following diseases which are risk to the public health through the online notification system and also telephone call to the following numbers which are working 24 hours and during the holidays.
Based on the above, it shall be noted on all health facilities in the private sector the full compliance in completing the required data, especially in the positive cases of infectious diseases for HIV, HBV, TB and Leprosy:
1) Current valid contact Numbers with address 2) Passport number and visa number 3) Name and contact number of the sponsor 4) Place of work 5) Hospital contact person name and contact number
Please note that result should not be given to patient unless all the above required data are completed in the report case form.
