[Reminder] تعميم رقم (90) بشأن ممارسة جراحة العيوب الانكسارية للرؤية بالليزك من قبل اخصائي العيون

To: All Healthcare Facilities – Private Sector

Based on the Health Regulation Department dedication in facilitating and improvement of work processes in alignment with the best international standards and within the applied rules and regulations of local legislation that focusing on safety and quality of health care services provided in the field, hence the following details for your kind consideration:-

§  Laser refractive surgery is to be included within the scope of ophthalmologist practice

§  Ophthalmologists will not require to apply at Health Regulation Department for upgrading their license to this privilege of scope

 

§  It is the responsibility of the medical director to ensure that the relevant ophthalmologist has the appropriate certificates/ training and experience in the same scope

 

This Circular is effective from the date of issuance
