To: All Healthcare Facilities – Private Sector Dubai
The “Determined Ones" initiative is a National Policy launched in April 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum by which people
belonging to this segment will no longer be called of
“special needs" but rather the “determined ones". The initiative aims to create an integrating, barrier– free society which ensures empowerment and decent life for them.
In line with the importance of the initiative, Health Regulation Department - DHA has developed a plan to improve health facilities and their utilities to ensure the provision of healthcare services are rendered for the determined ones.

A period of six months (1st July - 31st December 2017) will be granted for healthcare facilities to complete the necessarily actions and submit the attachments and engineering layout to Health Regulation Department during this period.

Healthcare facilities are, therefore, required to submit the necessary documents and action plan as well as the engineering layouts during this period.
Please, go through the directives indicated in the circular and being complied with submission the required documents within the setting time frame. Failure to comply with these procedures may result in disciplinary actions in accordance with the applied DHA rules and regulations.
