Changes In The Mode Of Dispensing Of The Medicine(Tropicamide)With All Different Trade Names

To: All Health Facilities - Private Sector in Dubai

In accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHP) and on the security and safety of society and for the preservation of public health and recommendations of the Higher Committee for Registration and Drug Pricing meeting No. 128/2017 on the date 6/12/2017 and upon directions of MOHP and laws and decisions in place to raise public health and patient safety and the local health authorities in the State to regulate the consumption, distribution and dispensing of medications, Narcotic drugs, Psychotropic substances and Controlled and Semi-Controlled drugs, 

Kindly note that it has been decided to amend the method of dispensing of the above-mentioned drug category to a Semi-Controlled Drug (SCD) and can only be prescribed by an eye specialist or eye consultant physician, and all health facilities must adhere to this circular in accordance with the instructions in this regard.

§  To avoid any violations or penalties all health facilities must adhere to this Circular in accordance with the instruction in this regard.
