[Reminder] Law No.(5)Of 2015 On Lost And Abandoned Property In Dubai

As part of Health Regulation Sector-DHA ongoing commitment to keep its strategic partners informed with the updates of laws and rules relating to the field and to reinforce our proper communication about all the latest on it , Health Regulation Sector hereby attaches the following :

Law no. (5) of the year 2015  on lost and abandoned property in Dubai 

·       The law defines the lost properties as the monies and properties that are acquired by law, has a value, lost by its lawful owner without deliberate intention and found within Dubai.

·       The law also prescribed the responsibilities of Dubai Police inimplementing and activating the rules attached to the law, and Dubai Police isthe entity responsible for receiving, preserving and investigating any lostand/or abandoned property.

Thus, based on the provisions of the said law, and in case of finding any lost or abandoned property within the health facility, it is required to abide by the law’s terms and conditions and report timely to Dubai police as stipulated in the act.
