Activate Professional License

This service allows Health Facilities to activate full-time, part-time, or trainee licenses for healthcare professionals with active registration. A Healthcare Professional can practice once the license is issued.

Who Can Apply

    • Delegated Healthcare Facility Representatives

Prerequisites

    • Healthcare Facility license should be Active and should have the healthcare professional related speciality
    • Healthcare Professional are required to be registered and should grant the facility consent on being licensed
    • Valid medical fitness report for professionals who are 65 years or older
    • Valid medical malpractice insurance covering the healthcare professional
    • Valid labour card (for non-UAE nationals)
    • Pay outstanding fines (if applicable)

Required Documents

    • Valid passport copy (if not previously updated on the system)
    • Logbook (only for Surgeons licensed in outpatient healthcare facility for more than 2 years and applying for a part-time license in a Day Surgical Center or Hospital)

Service Steps

    • Submit online application after selecting the professional's registration(s)
    • Professional approves request
    • Pay required fees
    • Upon approval, the professional license is activated and eLicense is generated

Service Limitations

    • Facility license status must be Active and has the healthcare professional related service 
    • Professional's selected registration must be Active 
    • Professional Part-time permission matrix should be met 
    • Facility must have Approved Practice Setting as an add-on in order to activate a trainee license 
    • Full-time facility must grant the professional a part-time approval in order for the part-time facility to activate the professional's license 
    • Facility must have a full-time supervisor in order to activate trainee licenses or supervised titles 
    • Professional must not have unpaid outstanding fines
